Full Cap Hair System

FAQs

Mainly designed for hair system wearers who are fully bald, a full cap human hair wig is a popular hair loss solution that gives wearers a full head of natural-looking hair by providing complete coverage of the scalp. Generally, men choose from custom full cap human hair wig in this category, as scalp size and shape vary considerably from individual to individual.

Since a full cap wig is a lot larger than regular hairpieces, the cost is also higher. Most men’s full cap human hair wigs cost between $300 and $600. When it comes to a wholesale price, it can go as low as only $100/pc for most full cap human hair wig suppliers.

Methods for attaching a full cap human hair wig vary mostly according to what type of full cap human hair wig it is.

Generally, you need to first place the full cap human hair wig on your client's head and keep it in place.

Then, you can gently move it forward and backward to make sure the front hairline is aligned with where your client’s natural front hairline is.

After securing the full cap human hair wig in place—probably with some attachment tools, such as tape, glue, or clips—you can style the hair in whatever way your client prefers.

Measuring head for a full cap human hair wig is much more complicated than measuring for a regular hairpiece. There are typically 7 different measurements you need to take in order to achieve a thorough and effective measurement:

Head Circumference
This measures the distance around your head. Starting at the center of the front hairline, place the tape flat against your head. Going just above the ear toward the back of the head, keep the tape at the nape of your neck and go around to the opposite side of your head, just above the opposite ear. Then, return to the center of the front hairline.

Front to Back
Place the tape at the center of your front hairline and measure directly across the middle top of your head to the nape of your neck. To determine where the nape of your neck is, tilt your head back and look up. Where your neck bends and where you may have developed a skin fold is where your nape is. You want the bottom of the full cap human hair wig to sit right above this area so that when you do tilt your head back that far, your full cap human hair wig will not shift on your head. If this part is not measured correctly, the base will be too long. This area is often right at the occipital bone, but be sure to take the measurement with your neck bent down so that you are looking at your shoes.

Ear to Ear over Forehead
Place the tape at your temple, just in front of your ear. Measure from your hairline at the base of the sideburn and go up across the hairline along the forehead to the same point in front of the opposite ear.

Temple to Temple
Place the tape at the bottom edge of the sideburn in front of your ear and go directly across the top of the head to the bottom edge of the opposite sideburn. This measures your temple-to-temple length over the top of the head.

Ear to Ear over Top of Head
Place the tape from the hairline edge at the top of your ear and go directly across the top of your head to the hairline edge at the top of the opposite ear.

Temple to Temple over Back of Head
Place the tape against your head at the front edge of the hairline (temple area). Go around the head above the occipital bone to the opposite front edge of the hairline (the opposite temple area).

Width of Neck from Side to Side
This measures the width of the hairline across the nape of the neck.
Place the tape at the lowest point on the bone behind your ear (mastoid bone) and measure across the neck to the opposite mastoid bone.
Finally, mark down your measurements on the order form.

Making a full cap custom template is the best way to get a well-fitted and proper full cap human hair wig, as the factory can use it to create a mold of the head, ensuring that the full cap human hair wig perfectly fits the size, shape, and contour of your customer’s head, which will make them feel more secure and comfortable in the system.

Tools
To make a full cap human hair wig template, you will need plastic kitchen wrap, a marker, transparent tape, clear packing tape that is around 5 centimeters wide, scissors, a mirror, water, and paper towels.

Step 1: Dampen the head with water to prevent the plastic wrap from sliding around. Then, lay a large piece of plastic wrap over the scalp and center it. Make sure you press it firmly and evenly and ensure that it is airtight, with no gaps or bumps. Be careful not to stretch it, as this will cause it to shrink when it’s removed. Also, make sure that the plastic wrap covers all of the areas you need to cover with the full cap wig but allow some extra for buffer.

Step 2: Secure the plastic wrap by tying the ends under the chin, and make sure the plastic wrap is laying smooth, with as few wrinkles as possible. However, to keep it flat around the ear, you will need to cut a small slit in the plastic below the top edge of the ear before carefully releasing the ear from the plastic wrap. Then, cut away the excess. Tuck the remaining plastic wrap behind the ear and tape it in place.

Step 3: Trace the area you would like the full cap human hair wig to cover by drawing a line that is thin and visible with the marker. Try to make the line as accurate as possible.

Step 4: Using the tape, start taping at the back and move from the bottom up until you reach the crown. Make sure the template is completely covered with tape, or it won’t be useable. After you finish applying the first layer of tape, apply a second layer of tape vertically until it fully covers the first layer.

Step 5: Apply the tape over the head from side to side until the front area is fully covered. When you are finished taping from side to side, begin applying the second layer of tape vertically from the front to the back until the entire area is covered.

Step 6: Starting from the back, apply the packing tape from side to side only, covering the entire area and making it as smooth as possible. When you complete this step, you’ve got the template for your client's full cap human hair wig.
