Bleach Colors vs Cuticle Removal

May 9, 2016By Flora Jiang

Bleach colors involve a chemical treatment which creates lighter colors. When a customer needs a certain light color, and we do not have exactly the same color, we can bleach a darker color to a lighter color.

Some hair does not come with the hair roots and tips in same direction. In this case we need to put the hair through an acid treatment to remove cuticles. This prevents hair tangle.

Some customers mistakenly think the bleach color process might remove the hair cuticle at the same time. In fact, bleach hair color has nothing to do with removing cuticles. They are 2 different processes. The hair can be bleached and retain the cuticle at the same time.
